The Icehouse Restaurant has been a tradition since 1976. It has been a historic Detroit Landmark since 1887 starting with the Detroit Ice Company. These days restaurants come and go but the Icehouse has lived on mainly because they have never forgotten that your local eatery should be a warm and friendly place with a delectable menu that has a little for everyone.
When you come into the Icehouse Restaurant the first thing you will notice is the view. Overlooking the Big Detroit Lake you will experience both sunrises and sunsets with windows from the floor to the ceiling and seasonal lakeside patio seating. During the cold months, we keep the fireplace lit to emphasize how our friendly staff will treat you like family. After all, the Ice House Restaurant has been the meeting place in Detroit Lakes for decades. Did I mention the food?
